Kenna Griffin is a Ph.D. candidate in the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
Griffin also is an assistant professor in Oklahoma City University’s Mass Communications Department. She joined the department in 2003. Her major areas of teaching are journalism and public relations. She also serves as the university’s director of student publications.
Griffin’s professional experience includes working as a staff writer at The Oklahoman and managing editor for the Guthrie News Leader.
Griffin advises Oklahoma City University’s student newspaper, The Campus, as well as the publication’s online version, MediaOCU.com. She oversees operations of the student yearbook, The Constellation.
Griffin is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, College Media Advisers, Oklahoma Press Association, and Oklahoma Collegiate Media Association.
Griffin has a master’s of education from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and a Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma City University.
